Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Daniel Dean (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Peter Braun (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Braun has chosen Neurosonic - Are Solar as his entrance music. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Daniel Dean!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Peter Braun!
The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Gregory Folan and Yves DeLean.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Braun closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Braun really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Dean. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Dean looking to force a kimura from the bottom here. He's concentrating on that move too much though and Braun pushes past his half guard into mount!
Dean is breathing heavily.
Braun looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.
Dean looking to escape from mount but he's given up his back!

Dean defending nicely against the rear naked choke attempt.
Dean covering up well and avoiding damage.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Dean tries to escape the position.
Dean staying busy and making it hard for Braun to control.
Braun struggling to land strikes to the head as Dean covers up.

Braun seems to be going for a rear naked choke. He has an arm under Dean's chin but Dean turns very nicely into Braun's guard. Good BJJ skills being displayed there by Dean.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Dean drops back, looking for a kneebar! Braun looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Braun looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Braun!

Braun stands up.
Braun throws a right and a left that both miss.

Braun doesn't manage to clinch there - Dean circles away.

Braun clinches up against the cage.
Braun has Dean pushed against the cage.

Braun breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Braun tries to close the distance and clinch but Dean swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Braun fails in his attempt to clinch.

Dean looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Braun!

Dean jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Braun is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Braun and Dean has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.

Braun is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Dean asserts his dominance and retains side control.

Dean has an Americana. Braun didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Dean is delighted and gyrates infront of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Dean hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
