Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Frankie Albert!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
10 - 18 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, luke cummo!
The judges for this bout are Arvi Lind, Anni Minnemäki and Matti Vanhoillinen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Albert lands with a slapping head kick.
It looks like luke cummo has been cut.
Albert rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but cummo moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
cummo tries to score a power double leg takedown but Albert sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten cummo somewhat.
cummo takes a shot right to the bread basket.
cummo dodges the punch combination from Albert.
Albert will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Albert tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Albert throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Albert's corner calls for a 1,2 combination and Albert duly obliges.
cummo is rocked!
Frankie Albert seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
cummo fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
cummo looks gassed!
Albert lands a nice leg kick that just misses cummo's sensitive parts.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Albert lands with a jab that stuns his opponent. cummo is looking to close the distance but Albert sees it coming and throws a beautiful knee! cummo crumbles to the mat and that's all she wrote! Let's hope cummo is OK because that was naaaaaasty!
