Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Todd Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vladmir kurochenko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Johnson comes to the ring accompanied by Dethklok - The Gears. Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Todd Johnson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Vladmir kurochenko!
The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Frank Dennis and Tiny Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Johnson pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Johnson misses with a series of wild punches.
kurochenko circles away from the clinch attempt.
kurochenko tries to close the distance and clinch but Johnson swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
A swing and a miss from Johnson.
Johnson throws out a loose jab but kurochenko uses good head movement to avoid it.
kurochenko has a takedown stuffed.
Johnson throws a right and a left that both miss.
Johnson misses with the combination.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
kurochenko shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Johnson pinned against the cage. Johnson gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

kurochenko looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.

kurochenko is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Johnson doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time kurochenko.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Johnson keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Johnson actively working from the bottom here.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
kurochenko is trying hard to land a takedown here. Johnson sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Todd Johnson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Vladmir kurochenko.
Johnson displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from kurochenko.
Todd Johnson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

kurochenko shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Johnson manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

kurochenko is looking to work some ground and pound but Johnson has wrist control.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

kurochenko avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Vladmir kurochenko will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the ring so we can get back down to business.



kurochenko shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Johnson's guard.

Johnson tries to push off, looking to stand up, but kurochenko manages to move to mount!

kurochenko looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.
Johnson is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position.

kurochenko goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Johnson turns into him and now he's in kurochenko's guard.

Johnson got a little sloppy there for a moment and kurochenko has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Johnson has managed to get both his arms back between kurochenko's legs - danger averted.
kurochenko is breathing heavily.

Johnson gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
kurochenko fails with a takedown attempt.
Johnson throws a sloppy head kick and kurochenko moves out of range easily.
Johnson connects with a vicious head kick that knocks kurochenko to the floor! Johnson dives in looking for the finish!


It looks like Vladmir kurochenko has been cut.

kurochenko is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Johnson pulls his head out easily.

Johnson is looking for a kimura here.

kurochenko looking for subs from the bottom but Johnson mounts him!

Johnson is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, kurochenko has managed to escape the submission attempt.

Johnson goes for an armbar but kurochenko turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from kurochenko.

Johnson working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. kurochenko doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. kurochenko manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Todd Johnson dominated that second round.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!


kurochenko shoots in but no luck this time.
Johnson tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
kurochenko shoots in and drives through. Johnson sprawls well.
kurochenko slips a jab and a cross from Johnson.
No luck for kurochenko with that takedown attempt.
Todd Johnson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Vladmir kurochenko.
Johnson doesn't manage to clinch there - kurochenko circles away.

kurochenko jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Johnson is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Johnson and kurochenko has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.

Johnson makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Johnson.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Todd Johnson.
I think Johnson has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
