Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mark Wallus!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Karl Jackson!
The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Frank Dennis and Daniel Franklin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jackson moves out of range as Wallus throws a body kick.
Wallus lands a nice leg kick that just misses Jackson's sensitive parts.
Wallus lands with a kick to the temple. Jackson shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
Wallus misses with a head kick.
Wallus tries to score with a low kick but Jackson moves his leg out of the way.
Wallus tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Good work by Jackson as he checks the leg kick.
Wallus throws a head kick but Jackson moves out of range.
Jackson blocks a head kick by Wallus.
Jackson checks a low kick from Wallus.
A head kick misses from Jackson.
Jackson shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Wallus pinned against the cage. Wallus gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Wallus lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.

Jackson closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Jackson lands in his opponent's guard.
Jackson prevents Wallus from getting back to his feet.

Jackson drops back looking for a leg! Wallus is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Wallus manages to kick Jackson off! Jackson jumps back into Wallus's guard.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Jackson trying to control the position from guard on top but Wallus is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Wallus is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Jackson throws a front kick that sends Wallus stumbling back into the ropes.
Some bone on bone action there as Jackson checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
An inside leg kick lands from Wallus.
Wallus misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Wallus fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Jackson checks it well.
Wallus goes for a high kick. It partially lands.
Jackson tries to clinch up.
Jackson avoids the head kick by Wallus.
An inside leg kick from Wallus misses.
Nice takedown defense from Wallus. No joy for Jackson on that attempt.
Wallus really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Jackson stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Wallus.
Wallus scores with a kick to the midsection.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Wallus throws a leg kick but Jackson checks it.
Wallus throws out a leg kick but Jackson moves out of range and Wallus only half commits.
Jackson tries to close the distance and clinch but Wallus swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Wallus misses with a low kick.
Jackson misses with a looping left.
Jackson steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Wallus. That one must have hurt.
Mark Wallus seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Wallus throws a head kick but Jackson moves out of range.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Wallus.
Jackson throws a head kick that misses
and Wallus counters with an inside leg kick.
Wallus fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Jackson.
Jackson blocks a head kick by Wallus.
Jackson shoots for a double leg takedown but Wallus sprawls well. He's pushed Jackson's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Mark Wallus has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Karl Jackson.

Jackson instigates a clinch.
Jackson wants to break the clinch but can't.
Jackson fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Jackson is working for a takedown up against the ropes. He can't get it on this occasion though.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Mark Wallus dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Jackson misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Jackson tries to score a power double leg takedown but Wallus sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Jackson somewhat.
Wallus looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Wallus feints and then cracks Jackson's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Jackson down.
Wallus does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.

Jackson drives through with a takedown into guard.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

Jackson drops back looking for a leg! Wallus is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Wallus manages to kick Jackson off! Jackson jumps back into Wallus's guard.
Wallus wants to stand but Jackson is controlling the position.
Jackson is breathing heavily.
Jackson landing with the ground and pound.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Wallus is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Wallus wants to get back to his feet but Jackson passes into half guard.
Wallus is looking to get back to is feet but Jackson passes into side control.
Wallus wants to get back to his feet.
Wallus takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Wallus is trying to buck Jackson off.
You can see the frustration on Wallus's face as Jackson controls the position.
Wallus is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Jackson asserts his dominance and retains side control.
Jackson has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Wallus!

Jackson throws some shoulder strikes here and then postures up. Oh, he's gone for an armbar! Wallus has his hands clasped together but Jackson breaks the hold and Wallus is forced to tap! This one is aaaaaaaaaaall over! That was lightning fast by Jackson!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:02 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Karl Jackson!
