The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silk throws a body punch but Sessions moves out of range.
Sessions feints and then cracks Silk's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Silk down.
A slapping leg kick lands for Sessions.
Nice takedown defense from Sessions. No joy for Silk on that attempt.
Silk shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Sessions defends it nicely.

Silk gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Sessions to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Sessions showing good wrestling skills to control the position.
Sessions makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Silk is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Sessions missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Sessions would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Silk looking to sweep here. No luck so far.

Silk postures up in Sessions's guard and throws a big left but Sessions blocks it.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Sessions can do anything to dispel that myth.
Sessions bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Silk's guard.

Sessions gets to his feet - Silk follows without any prompting.

Sessions moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Silk throws a right and a left that both miss.
Silk chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Sessions can pounce on him.
A nice leg kick lands there from Sessions.

Silk tries to clinch but Sessions moves away
and Sessions counters with a head kick. That will keep Silk thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!

Silk is breathing heavily.

Silk lands a couple of shots from the bottom.
Sessions wants to stand but Silk is controlling his posture from full guard.
Sessions is stalling in the full guard.

Silk is looking to sinch up a triangle. Sessions throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Silk's body to avoid the submission. Silk has instead reached around Sessions's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Silk arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
