The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pierre avoids the head kick by Richardson.
Pierre just misses with a punch to the body.
Pierre moves out of range as Richardson throws a body kick.
Richardson stuns Pierre with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Pierre walks into a straight right hand from Richardson.

It looks like George Pierre has been cut.
Pierre avoids a punch combination nicely.
Richardson misses with a straight left.
Pierre's corner calls for a 1,2 combination and Pierre duly obliges.
Pierre just misses with a punch to the body.
Pierre tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Richardson was well out of range. Poor timing from Pierre.

Pierre clobbers Richardson with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Richardson tries to land a front kick but Pierre steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Richardson fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Pierre looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

Pierre throws a right hand that Richardson ducks under and follows up with a left that Richardson also avoids with ease.
Pierre cracks a nice hook into Richardson's ribs.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Pierre stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Pierre connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Richardson momentarily.
Pierre scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.

Richardson is rocked!
Pierre throws a shot to the body.
A punch lands to the side of Richardson 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Nice body punch from Pierre.
A left and a right from Pierre both land. Nice combination.
Oh Richardson is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Richardson takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.

Pierre scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
Pierre throws an overhand right from the outside, which connects and sends Richardson stumbling backwards into the cage! Richardson bounces back off the cage towards Pierre, who cracks him with a two punch combination that drops him to his knees! Pierre lands two more shots before the referee has chance to intervene - what a finish! Pierre celebrates with his corner as the crowd cheer loudly.
