Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between jared wagner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Young Blood (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Blood fails with a takedown attempt from distance.

wagner throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Blood was covering up waiting for the punch and wagner finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Blood is trying to control the position from the bottom.
wagner loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

wagner drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Blood dives on top into guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
wagner is looking to stand up but Blood isn't so interested in that idea.

so Blood counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.

Blood got a little sloppy there for a moment and wagner has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Blood has managed to get both his arms back between wagner's legs - danger averted.
wagner is breathing heavily.

wagner looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Blood has picked wagner up and slammed him! wagner can't keep hold of the triangle and Blood manages to pass to side control!

Blood stands up and beckons wagner to his feet.

Blood rushes wagner and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Blood wants to hit a switch here but wagner passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Blood there!
Blood tries to reverse the position but wagner maintains control.

wagner jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Blood is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Blood and wagner has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

wagner drops back, looking for a kneebar! Blood looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Blood looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Blood!

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
wagner shoots for a double leg takedown but Blood sprawls well. He's pushed wagner's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

wagner stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Blood swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Blood tries to clinch but fails miserably

and wagner counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

wagner looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Blood with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
