Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Andrew LaCelle (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Arthur Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice takedown defense from Smith. No joy for LaCelle on that attempt.

Smith feints and as LaCelle raises his hands in defense, Smith changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Smith thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
LaCelle looking to control.

Smith drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Smith jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Smith got a little sloppy there for a moment and LaCelle has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Smith has managed to get both his arms back between LaCelle's legs - danger averted.
LaCelle knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Smith on the ground.
LaCelle wants to sweep here but Smith controlling him for the moment.

LaCelle is looking for a triangle but Smith pushes his legs off easily.
Smith wants to pass the guard but LaCelle is keeping the position.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Smith shoots in and bounces LaCelle off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Smith stands and throws LaCelle's legs to the side, diving into side control.

Smith wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by LaCelle, who protects the arm well.

Smith is trying to get an arm triangle but LaCelle is defending well.

LaCelle is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Smith off and has taken his back!
Smith tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell!

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

LaCelle throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Smith because LaCelle loaded up on that one.

LaCelle looking to control but Smith is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Smith sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Smith is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of LaCelle's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take LaCelle's back!

LaCelle defends a prolonged rear naked choke attempt and turns nicely into his opponent's guard.

Smith has his foot on LaCelle's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. LaCelle works his way back into a safe position though.

Smith looking for a guillotine here but LaCelle defends easily.

LaCelle stands and steps away. Smith gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

LaCelle has Smith up against the cage in a clinch.

LaCelle tries a knee to the head but Smith blocks it.
Smith is looking for a takedown up against the cage. LaCelle gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
LaCelle tries to land a knee to the head but Smith blocks with his arms.
Smith fails to pull guard.

LaCelle escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
LaCelle tries to close the distance and clinch but Smith swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Smith has a takedown stuffed.
Andrew LaCelle has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Arthur Smith.
No luck for Smith with that takedown attempt.
LaCelle misses with a head kick.
LaCelle throws a nice outside leg kick.
LaCelle is looking to clinch but Smith is avoiding it.
LaCelle displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Smith.
LaCelle doesn't manage to clinch there - Smith circles away.
Smith stuffs the takedown.
Smith keeps the fight on the outside.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Smith.

Smith is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, LaCelle has escaped the position, nice work there.

Smith is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. LaCelle knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Smith tries for a kimura but LaCelle is defending well.

LaCelle throws his opponent off and manages to get back to his feet! Nicely done!
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Smith bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Smith is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. LaCelle looks calm but he's in trouble here. Smith gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. LaCelle is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Smith lets go of the hold and LaCelle can pop his arm back in it's socket.
