The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
White tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Keane swivels and escapes.
Keane defends well against a solid takedown attempt from White.
Keane really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Keane will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Keane gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
White thows a big elbow that misses.
Keane tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Keane wants to stand and escape but White is having none of it.
White content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as White accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Keane working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from White.
White wants to pass the guard but Keane is keeping the position.
Keane wants to stand but White is controlling the position.

White is looking to work some ground and pound but Keane has wrist control.
Keane is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
White looking to sit in guard and control but Keane gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Keane has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of White is proving hard to escape from.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Keane slips under a jab from White.
Keane displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from White.

White tries for a takedown but Keane sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Keane throws a right and a left that White avoids nicely.

Horrible takedown by White or perhaps it was just good defense by Keane which made him look bad.

and White counters with a nice double leg into side control. Keane won't be happy with that.
White looks gassed!

White throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.

You can see the frustration on Keane's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

White is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Keane is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

White tries for a kimura but Keane is defending well.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Keane sneaks back into half guard.
Keane pushes White off looking to stand but White dives back in and keeps control.
Keane has hold of White's hands but White slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Keane is looking for a sweep. White is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
White thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Keane trying to control but White postures up.
White has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
White is pressing down on Keane's thigh, looking to free his foot. Keane is holding on for now.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
White throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Keane looks like he's trying to stand up.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Keane throws a head kick but White moves out of range.
Keane throws a sloppy head kick

and White counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Keane!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
White throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage.

Keane wants to get back to his feet.

White walks forward, straight into a front kick from Keane.
Padraig Keane is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

White feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
White is looking to advance position but Keane has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount!

Keane get's back to his feet.

White fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Keane sprawls well initially but White persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

White is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Keane sees it coming and defends easily.
White thows a big elbow that misses, also allowing Keane to regain full guard.
Keane is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Keane wants to stand but White has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now.
Gene White has got the better of the ground game so far.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

White is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Keane pulls his head out easily.

Keane stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows White to get to his feet.
Keane misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
White shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Keane defends it nicely.
Keane lands with a kick to the temple. White shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
Keane lands a head kick. White smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
Nice defenses there by White.
Keane throws a right hand that White ducks under and follows up with a left that White also avoids with ease.

White shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Keane as he avoids it easily.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from White.
Padraig Keane has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Gene White.
Keane rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but White moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Keane connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
White tries to score a power double leg takedown but Keane sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten White somewhat.
Keane lands a two punch combo.
Keane throws a quick inside leg kick.
White shoots in for a takedown but Keane shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Keane lands with a kick to the temple. White shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"

White takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.

Keane keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

Keane bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.
Keane fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches White on the side of the head.

White drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Keane dives on top into guard.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
White looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Keane puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!

Keane throws a combination. White tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
Keane keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
White changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Keane tries to avoid it but White manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Keane to the ground. Keane escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
White takes a jab right on the kisser.
Keane stalks White and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into White's face. White staggers backwards, shaken.
White on the wrong end of a nice hook.
Keane misses with a jab, cross combination.
White takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
A head kick from Keane lands but White takes it in his stride.
Keane lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
White shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Keane scores with a punch to the head.
Padraig Keane seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Keane feints and then cracks White's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow White down.
Keane throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
White gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Keane throws the kick towards the body but White avoids it.
A combination from Keane does no damage.
Keane misses with a double jab.

White shoots in and bounces Keane off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

White decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Keane, up you get!

Keane tries a head kick but it misses.

White bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

White wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Keane, who protects the arm well.
White is looking to take a break and control but Keane is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Keane is trying to buck White off.

White working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
White misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.

Keane managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by White.
Keane is looking to work his way out of this bad position but White is controlling him well.
White blocks the strikes from Keane.
White working the strikes but Keane uses the opportunity to regain half guard.
Keane wants to control but White is keeping busy.
Keane is trying to defend against the ground and pound but White scores with a couple of nice shots.
White works his way into full mount!
Keane's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
White with a couple of short strikes.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, White cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

White goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Keane turns into him and now he's in White's guard.

White has his foot on Keane's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Keane works his way back into a safe position though.
Keane has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

White looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Keane stands up and waves to White to follow him.
Keane throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
