Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Marcus Torres (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pedro Maddalena (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Maddalena has chosen Raça Rubro Negra ! as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Torres scores with a takedown into Maddalena's guard.

Torres looking to sit in guard and control but Maddalena gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Torres keeping moving, preventing Maddalena from controlling successfully.
Maddalena might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Torres kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
Torres wants to get back to his feet but Maddalena is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

Torres knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Maddalena on the ground.

Maddalena stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Torres swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Torres is defended easily by Maddalena.

Maddalena is looking for a kimura but Torres is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Maddalena to get the leverage.
Maddalena should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Maddalena tries to pass to full mount but Torres defends it.

Torres managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Maddalena.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Torres manages to get back to half guard.
Maddalena wants to lay and pray for a moment but Torres keeps working.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Torres is trying to stand back up but Maddalena is controlling him

Maddalena tries to lock up and control but Torres gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Marcus Torres overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Torres's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Maddalena tries to reverse the position but Torres maintains control.

The referee stands the fighters back up. Marcus Torres just wasn't active enough from the dominant position.
Torres scores with a kick to the midsection.

Torres gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Maddalena has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Torres avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
