Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Alex Swift (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and MCJ Guti (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Guti fails with a takedown attempt.
Swift misses with a series of wild punches.
Swift throws a right and a left that Guti avoids nicely.

Swift closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Guti did well to prevent Swift getting side control.

Swift looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Guti with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Guti is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

Swift wants the takedown. Guti is fighting it off but Swift persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Guti's guard against the cage.

Swift got a little sloppy there for a moment and Guti has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Swift has managed to get both his arms back between Guti's legs - danger averted.

Guti escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Swift gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Swift decides to stand back up. Swift steps back and let's Guti get back to his feet.

Swift lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Guti shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Swift but Swift pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Guti walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Swift pulls Guti in close to his closed guard and prevents Guti from doing any damage or advancing position.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

Guti drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Guti jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Guti is fighting to break Swift's control of his arms but Swift is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Swift clinches up with Guti and pushes him back against the cage.
Swift presses Guti against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot.
