Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Dymtrus Kobzar!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Rodrigo Parga!
The judges for this bout are Igor Prikhodko, Ivan Kurochkin and Vladimir Khabensky.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kobzar misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Kobzar misses with a series of wild punches.
Parga ducks right into an uppercut from Kobzar.
Parga misses with a takedown attempt - Kobzar sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
A combination from Parga does no damage.
Kobzar throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Parga's head.
Kobzar throws a series of punches but Parga avoids them all with ease.
Parga blocks a head kick by Kobzar.
Nice body kick there by Kobzar.
Kobzar throws a sloppy head kick and Parga moves out of range easily.
Kobzar wants to clinch up but Parga keeps it at a distance.
Kobzar cracks Parga with an open hand slap.
Parga tries for a takedown but Kobzar sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Kobzar thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Parga if he has to take too many more of those.
Parga looks gassed!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Kobzar is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Kobzar throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped

and Parga counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Parga is standing up over Kobzar. Kobzar looks to escape but Parga dives into side control.
Kobzar is not in a great position here, taking some shots.
Parga tries to advance to mount but can't.

Kobzar seems a little lost for a moment, as Parga dominates the positioning.
Kobzar is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Parga is controlling him well.

Parga just content to control the position.

Kobzar pushes Parga away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Parga gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
Kobzar can't do much from the bottom here.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Parga decides to take the fight back to the feet.
Parga throws a body kick, spinning off balance
and Kobzar counters with a big head kick but Parga shrugs it off.

Kobzar gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Kobzar knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Parga on the ground.
Kobzar is trying to control the position from the bottom.

Parga with a flurry of punches that miss.
Kobzar on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Kobzar tries to get out of the position.
Parga tries to stand but Kobzar is controlling from the bottom.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Parga stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Kobzar swivels though and keeps the full guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Dymtrus Kobzar will probably get the nod.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!


Parga shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Kobzar as he avoids it easily.
Kobzar lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.


It looks like Rodrigo Parga has been cut.
Kobzar bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.
Kobzar drops Parga with a beautiful combination! Parga stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Kobzar is looking for the KO!


Parga is rocked!
Dymtrus Kobzar seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Parga closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Parga is still in real trouble! Can Kobzar finish him?
You can see the frustration on Kobzar's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Parga seems to have recovered his senses.
Parga content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though.
Parga creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.

Kobzar throws a series of punches but Parga avoids them all with ease.
Parga looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Kobzar is fending him off so far but Parga persists. Nope, Kobzar circles away and we're back to standing.

Dymtrus Kobzar has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Rodrigo Parga.
The fight stays on the outside here - Parga looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Parga shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Kobzar pinned against the cage. Kobzar gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Kobzar looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

Parga on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Kobzar. Kobzar obviously looking to wear him down.

Kobzar escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Parga looks to land a body kick but Kobzar moved away.
Kobzar lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Kobzar throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Kobzar looks to land a left hand but Parga moved out of range nicely.
Parga misses with a kick to the body.
Parga uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Kobzar.
Kobzar scores with a one two! Parga had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.

Parga shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Parga moves nicely into side control.

Parga wants to lay and pray for a moment but Kobzar keeps working.

Kobzar falls off balance throwing a combination

and Parga counters with a nice double leg into side control. Kobzar won't be happy with that.

Parga cracks Kobzar with a big right hand but Kobzar just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Parga prevents Kobzar from escaping the position.
Parga remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!


Parga shoots in and drives through. Kobzar sprawls well.

and Parga counters with a single leg into guard. Kobzar didn't expect that.
Parga is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Rodrigo Parga has got the better of the ground game so far.
Parga passes Kobzar's left leg - he's now in half guard.

Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Parga throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Parga's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Parga decides to stand and escape the position.
Dymtrus Kobzar is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Parga shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Kobzar as he jumps to the side.

A telegraphed takedown attempt from Parga is defended easily by Kobzar.

Parga tries to pull guard but Kobzar holds him up against the cage and eventually Parga drops back down to his feet.
Parga drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Kobzar gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Dymtrus Kobzar is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Parga wants to break the clinch but can't.
Kobzar swings wildly with an uppercut but Parga uses good head movement to avoid it.

Kobzar escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Parga shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Parga tries a head kick but it misses.
Kobzar lands a nice shot to the body.
Kobzar lands a nice hook to Parga's body. Parga takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

and Parga counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
Kobzar wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
A nice left hand lands by Kobzar.
Kobzar lands a right hand that snaps the head of Parga backwards.
Rodrigo Parga has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Kobzar lands a knee to the head there! That was nasty!

Rodrigo Parga comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Kobzar has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
