Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Laurel Aitken (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mike Kick (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Aitken comes into the arena with Two Joints- Sublime blaring out of the sound system. Kick is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: M.O.P. - Ante Up. Mike Kick will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
9 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Laurel Aitken!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Mike Kick!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Wesley Smith and Chris Downing.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Aitken avoids a punch combination nicely.
Kick moves out of range as Aitken strikes.
Aitken misses with an uppercut. Kick saw that one coming.
Aitken tries to clinch but Kick is having none of it.
Aitken lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Aitken swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Aitken fails to land with a series of punches.
Aitken slips a straight right by Kick.
Kick falls off balance throwing a combination
and Aitken counters with a nice uppercut.
A jab from Kick finds it's way through Aitken's defenses.
Aitken throws a jab but it's blocked by Kick.
Aitken swings and misses with a hook to the body.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Kick misses with a looping right.
Aitken misses with a double jab
and Kick counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Kick throws a shot from downtown. Aitken moves away and avoids it.
Kick slips a jab and a cross from Aitken.
Aitken thows a left - swing and a miss!
Kick thows a body shot but no joy.
Kick is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Kick misses with a jab to the body
and Aitken connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Kick lands with a right hand.
Aitken slips a jab from Kick.
Aitken takes a body punch but keeps moving.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Kick cracks Aitken with a good jab.
Kick staying out of range there.
Aitken lands with a right hand.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Kick has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.

Aitken throws out a loose jab but Kick uses good head movement to avoid it.
Aitken swings and misses with a shot to the body
and Kick counters with a straight right hand.

and Kick counters with a huge uppercut, hook combination that drops Aitken! The ref has seen enough - he's dived in to stop the fight! Brutal strikes by Kick!
