The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McBride just misses with a punch to the body.
Kuutamo fails to land with a series of punches.
Nice takedown defense from Kuutamo. No joy for McBride on that attempt.
Kuutamo shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. McBride is trying to defend but Kuutamo finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
McBride works his way to full guard. Good work.

McBride really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
McBride has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Kuutamo can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Kuutamo drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Kuutamo jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
McBride is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a tringle but Kuutamo frees his head nicely. Oh but McBride has switched to an armbar! Kuutamo is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
