Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Demian Maia (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tapdance Extravaganza (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Frank Dennis and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Maia checks a low kick from Extravaganza.
Maia fails to land the takedown.
Maia takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Extravaganza changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.

Extravaganza cracks Maia with an elbow. That is naaassty.
Extravaganza has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Maia has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Extravaganza is working away from the top position though.
Extravaganza looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Maia with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Maia has hold of Extravaganza's hands but Extravaganza slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Maia is looking for a sweep. Extravaganza is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Maia is looking for a triangle but Extravaganza pushes his legs off easily.

Extravaganza shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Maia manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Maia is trying to control the position but Extravaganza postures up.
Maia is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Maia is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Maia escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Extravaganza gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Extravaganza lands a couple of digs.
Maia will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Maia is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Extravaganza works Maia's body with a nice hook.
Extravaganza comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Extravaganza shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Maia manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Extravaganza distracts Maia with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
