Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Demian Rocha (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jeff Surman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jeff Surman told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Demian Rocha!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jeff Surman!
The judges for this bout are Emerson Jorge, Luis Engracia and Alexandre Firmino.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Surman throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Rocha's waist but Rocha gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Surman off to one side.
Surman shoots for a takedown but Rocha saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Surman misses with the combination.
A lazy left from Rocha finds it's target.
Surman misses with a jab, cross combination.
Surman swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Rocha slips a jab and a cross from Surman.
Rocha throws a sloppy head kick and Surman moves out of range easily.
A solid leg kick lands there for Rocha.
Surman throws a hook but Rocha avoids it easily.
Rocha lands a really nice looking cross but Surman seems unphased.
It looks like Jeff Surman has been cut.
Surman looks gassed!
Rocha scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Rocha misses with a series of wild punches.
Surman closes this distance looking for a takedown but Rocha circles away.
Demian Rocha has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jeff Surman.
Rocha throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Rocha throws a sloppy head kick and Surman moves out of range easily.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Surman.
Rocha is looking to land body kicks.
Rocha scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Rocha fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Surman is trying desperately to land a takedown but Rocha is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Surman.
Rocha lands with a right and another and another! Surman is in big trouble! Rocha lands again and this time it's lights out for Surman! A quality knockout there for Rocha.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:10 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Demian Rocha!
