Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Melvin Guillard!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, and Frank Antenori.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Wallace clinches up against the cage.

Guillard breaks the clinch.
Wallace closes this distance looking for a takedown but Guillard circles away.
Guillard throws a nice looking combination but Wallace bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Guillard swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

A nice leg kick lands there from Wallace.
Guillard ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.

Wallace drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Wallace postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Guillard shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.

Wallace is looking for a sweep. Guillard is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Wallace shoots in for a double leg but Guillard sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Wallace tries to close the distance and clinch but Guillard swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Wallace shoots in looking for a takedown. Guillard tries to sprawl out of it but Wallace keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Guillard manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Wallace punishing his opponent with strikes.
Guillard is looking to improve his position but Wallace isn't that keen on the idea.
Wallace can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Guillard is looking to escape.
Guillard is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.

Melvin Guillard showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Wallace changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Guillard tries to avoid it but Wallace manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Guillard to the ground. Guillard escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Guillard rushes Wallace and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Guillard goes for a takedown in the clinch but Wallace prevents it.

Guillard has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Wallace is proving hard to escape from.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Guillard tries to free his leg and advance position but Wallace is retaining full guard.
Guillard wants to get up but he can't break Wallace's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
