The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Poole fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Poole fails to land the takedown.

Bruno clinches up with Poole and pushes him back against the cage.
Poole jumps guard but Bruno stands there with Poole around his waist. Poole gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Bruno tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Poole paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Poole closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Bruno to the mat! Bruno manages to get full guard.

Bruno leaves Poole with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Bruno drives through and clinches with Poole against the cage.

Poole shoots in for a takedown but Bruno shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Bruno darts in and clinches Poole up against the cage.

and Bruno counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Poole is breathing heavily.
Poole wants to control the position but Bruno says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard.

Bruno wants to finish this one by submission but Poole is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Bruno.

Bruno is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Poole sees it coming and defends easily.
Poole has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Bruno is working away from the top position though.

Bruno escapes and gets back to his feet.

Bruno drives through and clinches with Poole against the cage.

so Bruno counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

and Bruno holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Bruno lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
