The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fight stays on the outside here - McKenzie looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Bear McKenzie seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
McKenzie tries to close the distance and clinch but parris swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

McKenzie rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but parris moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
McKenzie throws a right hand that parris ducks under and follows up with a left that parris also avoids with ease.

McKenzie jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as parris walks away with a smile on his face. McKenzie gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

McKenzie has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. parris doesn't defend quickly enough and McKenzie has managed to lock this one up! Can parris escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to McKenzie on a fantastic submission victory.
