Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jason Leamy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Randy Bailey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bailey has chosen The Plimsouls - Oldest Story In The World as his entrance music. Both fighters really staring eachother down here, as Randy Bailey enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jason Leamy!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Randy Bailey!
The judges for this bout are Alyssa Summers, Columbo Gatti and John Kavanagh.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bailey wants to clinch.
Leamy avoids the head kick by Bailey.

Bailey changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Leamy looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Leamy is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Leamy manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
Leamy is looking for a sweep. Bailey is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Leamy manages to get to full guard.

Leamy has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Bailey can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Leamy has his foot on Bailey's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Bailey works his way back into a safe position though.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Bailey would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Leamy keeping moving, preventing Bailey from controlling successfully.

Leamy looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Leamy is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Bailey is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.

Leamy is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Bailey is aware though and is defending well.
Bailey postures up in Leamy's guard and throws a big left but Leamy blocks it.
Leamy tries to strike from the bottom.
Leamy has a closed guard, preventing Bailey from standing up.
Bailey trying to control the position from guard on top but Leamy is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Bailey might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Leamy kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Leamy gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Bailey counters with a right hand to the body.
Leamy is breathing heavily.
Bailey cracks Leamy with a good jab.


It looks like Jason Leamy has been cut.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
A head kick misses from Bailey.
Leamy staying out of range there.
Leamy uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Bailey.
Randy Bailey seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Bailey fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Leamy sprawls well initially but Bailey persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Leamy gets full guard.

Leamy has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Bailey can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Bailey got a little sloppy there for a moment and Leamy has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Bailey has managed to get both his arms back between Leamy's legs - danger averted.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Bailey gets to his feet - Leamy follows without any prompting.
Bailey missing with a left hand there. Leamy was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Leamy shoots and misses
and Bailey counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.

Bailey closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Leamy throws a strike from the bottom that misses.
Bailey throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Bailey missing with the ground and pound from half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Randy Bailey dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Jason Leamy's cut.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!


Bailey moves in looking to clinch but Leamy pushes him off.
Bailey uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Leamy has time to react.
The fighters circle, before Bailey throws a beautiful high kick that crashes into Leamy's neck, sending him stumbling to the floor! Bailey lands more strikes and forces a referee stoppage! That one ended in an instant!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:13 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Kick & Punches). Randy Bailey!
