The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cool fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Cool throws a right and a left that both miss.

Uber Cool seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Poole moves in looking to clinch but Cool pushes him off.
Poole tries to clinch but Cool is having none of it.

Cool shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Poole has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Poole closes this distance looking for a takedown but Cool circles away.
Cool will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Poole is trying to stall.
Cool prevents the takedown attempt.

Poole has Cool pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Poole pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Cool tumbling to the mat - Poole dives into Cool's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Poole sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Cool's guard.

No joy there for Cool, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Poole has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Poole there as he acknowledges the shot.

Cool falls off balance throwing a combination

Poole is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.

Cool breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Cool feints and as Poole raises his hands in defense, Cool changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Poole wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Poole shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Cool pinned against the cage. Cool gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Uber Cool showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Poole's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!


Poole shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Cool sprawls well. Cool wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Poole gets slowly back to his feet.

Poole shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Cool manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Poole wants to stand but Cool is controlling his posture from full guard.

Cool controls Poole momentarily but Poole frees himself.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Cool can do anything to dispel that myth.

Poole is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Poole slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Cool is positioning himself to get back to half guard.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
You can see the frustration on Cool's face as Poole controls the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Poole seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Cool for as long as he can get away with.
Poole's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Poole stands up and we're back to a striking position.
Cool fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Cool takes a kick to the side of the head.

Cool has managed to clinch.

Poole has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Cool is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Cool.

Poole tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Cool wants to get up but he can't break Poole's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Cool stops Poole from standing up.
Anthony Poole overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Poole wants to sweep here but Cool controlling him for the moment.
Poole manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Cool manages to get himself to full guard.
Cool utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Poole pushes down on Cool's leg and manages to get into half guard.

Anthony Poole showed his dominance in that final round.
