Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mikey Joans (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ed Burt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Burt has chosen No Worse Human as his entrance music. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Ed Burt was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Joans has a takedown stuffed.
Joans tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Burt swivels and escapes.
A combination from Burt does no damage.
The fighters circling - Joans throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Joans shoots in for a takedown but Burt shows good takedown defense.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mikey Joans. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Burt slips under a jab from Joans.
A jab-cross combination lands for Burt and sends Joans crashing to the mat! Burt follows him down to the mat - Joans regains half guard but he's not out of trouble yet!

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Burt passes into side control, despite Joans's attempt to control the position.
