Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Tiny Johnson and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Angelo throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Steele was covering up waiting for the punch and Angelo finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Angelo fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Steele avoids it really well and circles away.

Steele lands an elbow that stopped Angelo in his tracks for a moment.
Angelo is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Lexington Steele has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mike Angelo.
Angelo is trying to drag Steele to the mat but Steele just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Angelo goes for a takedown attempt but Steele pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

Steele doesn't manage to clinch there - Angelo circles away.
Steele lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Steele swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Angelo shoots in looking for a takedown. Steele tries to sprawl out of it but Angelo keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Steele manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Angelo shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Steele napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Steele knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Angelo on the ground.
Angelo swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Steele is now in Angelo's guard. A big mistake from Angelo there, giving up the dominant position!

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Angelo is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Angelo shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Angelo was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Steele's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.

Angelo takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Mike Angelo showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
