Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Martin Lindholm (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tarmo Lasberg (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Martin Lindholm!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Tarmo Lasberg!
The judges for this bout are Arvi Lind, Marco Blurström and Roosa Järviläinen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lindholm keeps the fight on the outside.

and Lasberg counters with a leg kick then a big left hand that sends Lindholm down! Lasberg is looking to finish but Lindholm is intelligently defending himself.

Lindholm is pressed up against the cage. Lasberg has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Lindholm down to the mat. Lindholm avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

and Lasberg counters with a two punch combo.
Lindholm stuffs the takedown attempt from Lasberg. Lasberg gets slowly back to his feet.
Lindholm tries to close the distance and clinch but Lasberg swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Lindholm shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.

Tarmo Lasberg dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Lindholm moves in looking to clinch but Lasberg pushes him off.
Lindholm tries to close the distance and clinch but Lasberg swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Lasberg stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Martin Lindholm seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Lasberg looks to land a combination but Lindholm avoids it well.
Horrible takedown by Lasberg or perhaps it was just good defense by Lindholm which made him look bad.
The fight stays on the outside here - Lindholm looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Lasberg avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Lasberg is breathing heavily.

Lasberg misses with a few strikes there.
Lasberg leaves Lindholm with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Lasberg throws a series of punches but Lindholm moves out of range.
Lindholm looks to clinch

and Lasberg holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Lasberg prevents Lindholm from breaking the clinch.
Lindholm using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Lasberg has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Lindholm swings wildly with an uppercut but Lasberg uses good head movement to avoid it.
Lasberg takes a knee right on the jaw!
Lindholm misses with a punch to the body.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Lindholm tries to pull guard but Lasberg won't allow it.
Lindholm tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Lasberg's elbow.

Lindholm changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Lasberg looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Lasberg is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Lindholm asserts his dominance and retains side control.

Lindholm is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Lasberg knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Lindholm has hold of Lasberg's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Lasberg seems comfortable defending it but Lindholm has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Lasberg is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Lasberg is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Lindholm couldn't care less - he's delighted!
