The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Horrible takedown by Heke or perhaps it was just good defense by Martinez which made him look bad.
Martinez jabs Heke right on the nose. Heke blinks but takes it well.
Heke shoots for a takedown but Martinez saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Martinez fails in his attempt to clinch.
Heke feints and as Martinez raises his hands in defense, Heke changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Martinez is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a tringle but Heke frees his head nicely. Oh but Martinez has switched to an armbar! Heke is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
