Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Gomer Pyle (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Heikki Ramires (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ramires has chosen Dropkick Murphys - The Gauntlet as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Ramires looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.

Ramires looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Ramires wants to advance to full mount but Pyle doesn't think that's going to happen and regains full guard instead.
Ramires stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Pyle swivels though and keeps the full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Ramires sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Pyle's guard.
Ramires works his foot free and advances to mount.
Ramires takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Ramires wants to finish this one by submission but Pyle is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Ramires.

Ramires jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Pyle manages to avoid the submission attempt.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Pyle tries to bench press Ramires off him but Ramires keeps the position.

Ramires is looking for the choke from the back position but Pyle is controlling his hands well.

Ramires has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Pyle has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!

Pyle is in a bad position with Ramires working for a choke. Pyle manages to spin nicely into guard and the danger is over for the moment.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

Ramires is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Pyle's half guard.
Pyle wants to control but Ramires is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Ramires moves into full mount! Pyle won't be happy about that!

Let's hope that Ramires has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Pyle moves in looking to clinch but Ramires pushes him off.

Ramires changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Pyle looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Ramires works to advance to full mount. Pyle defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.
Pyle has given up his back.

Pyle is trying to get back to his feet but Ramires has full control of the position and if anything, Pyle has just worked his way into a worse spot.
Ramires doesn't have the hooks in and Pyle manages to turn into his guard.

Ramires is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Pyle looks calm but he's in trouble here. Ramires gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Pyle is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Ramires lets go of the hold and Pyle can pop his arm back in it's socket.
