Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sero Kim (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Danny Green (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kim comes to the cage accompanied by CANON in D Korean Version (with gayageum) . Danny Green has the eye of the tiger tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Sero Kim!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Danny Green!
The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, Hugh Johnson and John Mangel.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Kim clinches with his opponent.
Kim is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Green is keeping busy.
Green managing to block the knees to the body from Kim.
Kim using the Thai clinch to land knees to the body.
Kim misses with a punch to the body.
Green is trying to break the clinch but Kim is controlling him.
Green can't break the clinch.
Kim tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
An uppercut to the body lands inside from Kim.
Green tries to break the clinch but Kim is controlling the position.
Kim lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage.

Kim breaks the clinch.
Kim pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Green closes the distance and lands a one-two.


It looks like Sero Kim has been cut.
Green wants to land a leg kick but Kim is out of range.
A big right from Green misses.
Kim throws a nice inside leg kick.

Kim gets a clinch.
Kim leaning his opponent against the cage.
Kim lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage.

Kim misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Green.
Green wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Kim has him pressed against the cage.
Kim throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Green blocks it with crossed arms.
Kim keeps control of Green as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Kim prevents Green from breaking the clinch.

Kim breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
A head kick misses from Kim.
Green is looking to clinch.
Green looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Green misses with a few strikes there.
Kim lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.
Green looks gassed!
A head kick lands from Kim that sends Green to the canvas. Green tries to scramble back to his feet but Kim brings him back down into side control.


It looks like Danny Green has been cut.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Kim cracks Green with a big elbow.
Kim controls the position.
Green on the wrong end of some ground and pound.
Kim is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Green will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.

Kim lands a few punches from side control.
Kim has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Kim cracks Green with a big right hand but Green just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Green is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Kim asserts his dominance and retains side control.
Kim takes a little break here. Green wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.
Green wants to get back to his feet.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Green is not in a great position here, taking some shots.

Kim is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Green knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Kim controls the position.
Kim is chipping away with strikes.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Green wants to get back to his feet but Kim drags him back down.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Sero Kim dominated that round.
Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval.
That's time! Back to the action!


Kim moves into range and lands a nice body kick.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Kim.

Kim moves into the clinch.
Kim has not gone for a single takedown so far in this fight, which seems like a very strange tactic when you consider that he has the superior wrestling and BJJ.
Kim lands a body shot.

Kim manages to break the clinch.
Kim lands a front kick.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Kim wants to clinch up but Green keeps it at a distance.
Kim chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Kim with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Kim scores with a kick to the midsection.
Nice body kick from Kim.
Green is breathing heavily.
Kim scores with a leg kick.
Kim looks to land a combination but Green avoids it well.
Danny Green is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

That's one minute gone in the round.
A low kick from Green is predictable there
and Kim counters with a good, hard body kick but Green shrugs it off.
An inside leg kick lands from Kim.
Kim wants to clinch
and Green counters with an inside leg kick.
Kim bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Green's head.
Kim tries to close the distance and clinch up but Green swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Green takes a kick to the side of the head.
Green takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Sero Kim is winning the standup battle so far.
Kim throws an overhand right from the outside, which connects and sends Green stumbling backwards into the cage! Green bounces back off the cage towards Kim, who cracks him with a two punch combination that drops him to his knees! Kim lands two more shots before the referee has chance to intervene - what a finish! Kim celebrates with his corner as the crowd cheer loudly.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:47 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Sero Kim!
