PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Huima Huima (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dewayne Carter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Huima comes into the arena with Holy Diver blaring out of the sound system. Carter has chosen Lil Wayne as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Huima shoots in for a double leg but Carter sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Huima decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Huima had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Carter is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Huima Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Carter's back instead.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

That was a close round but I would say that Huima Huima will probably get the nod.

Carter looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Huima is fending him off so far but Carter persists. Nope, Huima circles away and we're back to standing.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Huima is on top in guard.

Huima is pulling down on Carter's head. It's preventing any offense from Carter, at least for the moment.

Carter got a little sloppy there for a moment and Huima has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Carter has managed to get both his arms back between Huima's legs - danger averted.

Huima is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Huima is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Carter defends well.

Carter is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Huima gets his way!
Carter manages to reverse the position and now he's in Huima's guard. Nice work there by Carter.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Huima has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Carter is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Huima.

Huima working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Carter doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Carter manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Well Carter has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
