PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Sir Brunswick (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bob Probert (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Brunswick comes to the cage accompanied by Never Gonna Give You Up. Probert has chosen walk (pantera) as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Brunswick throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.

Brunswick really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Brunswick wants to break the clinch but can't.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Probert tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Brunswick smiles and moves away.

Probert fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Brunswick, pushing him back against the cage.

Probert tries to break free but Brunswick pushes him back against the cage.

Probert jumps into guard, dragging Brunswick to the mat.
Probert looking to hit a scissor sweep but Brunswick is one step ahead there.
Brunswick wants to pass the guard but Probert is keeping the position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Sir Brunswick dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Probert dives in and grabs Brunswick's left leg, looking for a takedown. Brunswick pushes down on Probert's head and hops out.

Brunswick tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Probert wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

You can see the frustration on Brunswick's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Brunswick, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
