The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Moravcik tries to land a leg kick but Cleaver saw it coming and moves away.
Moravcik loads up on a big right hand but Cleaver slips the punch.
Lubomir Moravcik seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Cleaver shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Moravcik pinned against the cage. Moravcik gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Moravcik keeping moving, preventing Cleaver from controlling successfully.
Cleaver might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Moravcik kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
Moravcik is looking to stand up but Cleaver isn't so interested in that idea.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Cleaver steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Moravcik.

Moravcik is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Cleaver.

It looks like LenDale Cleaver has been cut.
Cleaver will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Moravcik avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Moravcik is really struggling to find his range with his punches. Moravcik's reach advantage is clearly causing him problems.
Cleaver shoots in for a double leg but Moravcik sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Cleaver is working to tighten is grip on Moravcik's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Moravcik has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Cleaver is really squeezing tight and eventually Moravcik passes out! Cleaver breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
