Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Paul Wheel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sam Mir (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mir has chosen stranglehold as his entrance music. Paul Wheel is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Paul Wheel!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Sam Mir!
The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Robert Douchet and Dillan Fox.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wheel changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Mir tries to avoid it but Wheel manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Mir to the ground. Mir escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Wheel keeps Mir at a distance using the push kick.
Wheel tries to score a power double leg takedown but Mir sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Wheel somewhat.
Wheel tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Mir shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

so Wheel counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Mir escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Wheel gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Mir not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Mir looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Mir looks gassed!
Wheel is looking to stand up but Mir won't let him.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Wheel wants to pass the guard but Mir is keeping the position.
Wheel knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Mir on the ground.

Mir is looking for a triangle but Wheel pushes his legs off easily.
Wheel stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Mir swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Wheel is pushing down on Mir's leg trying to pass to half guard. Mir is fighting to maintain full guard but Wheel has managed to sneak the leg through.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Mir missing with punches from the bottom.
Wheel is trying to control the action in half guard but Mir is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Wheel missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Mir is trying to stand back up but Wheel is controlling him

Wheel tries to pass to full mount but Mir defends it.

Wheel is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Mir doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Wheel.
Mir trying to hold on to Wheel's head to control him but Wheel postures up.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

Wheel decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Wheel trying to mount his opponent but Mir defends it.

Mir has hold of a guillotine but he's not going to be able to crank on it really with only half guard, so it's no trouble for Wheel. Oh but Mir has got full guard now! Oh boy! This one could be over very soon! Wheel goes limp - he's gone! Mir jumps up and celebrates with the crowd - fantastic submission finish!
