Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Rennon Silva!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Cesar, Matheus Silva and Paulo Santos.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva throws a nice inside leg kick.
Meza checks a low kick from Silva.
Silva is looking to slow Meza down with leg kicks.
Silva tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Meza paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Silva fails with an attempt to clinch.
Silva shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Meza pinned against the cage. Meza gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Silva closes the distance and clinches up with Meza, looking for a takedown. Silva pushes Meza against the cage but Meza circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Meza fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Silva sprawls well initially but Meza persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Meza stands up from half guard.
Silva buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Silva fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Meza is out of range.
Rennon Silva seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Silva with a lazy takedown attempt
and Meza counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Silva's guard now.
Ed Meza has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Rennon Silva.
Silva is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Meza is controlling him.
Meza controls from within his opponent's guard.
Meza won't allow Silva to get back to his feet.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Meza is standing up over Silva. Silva looks to escape but Meza dives into side control.
Silva is trying to stand and escape here. He's got onto all fours but that's just let Meza take his back! Uh oh - Meza has got a rear naked choke here! Silva is forced to tap! It's all over! One monent is all it takes in this sport!
