Naug fails with an attempt to clinch.
Naug moves out of range of the body kick from Dawkins.
Naug fails with the takedown.
Dawkins tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Naug swivels and escapes.
Naug doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Dawkins decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Naug's guard.
Dawkins throwing strikes but missing.
Dawkins has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Dawkins controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Naug is looking to stand up but Dawkins isn't so interested in that idea.
Dawkins throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Dawkins controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Dawkins's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Dawkins throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Naug sees it coming and avoids it easily.
The fight stays on the outside here - Naug looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Dawkins looks to land a left hand but Naug moved out of range nicely.
Naug tries for a takedown but Dawkins circles away easily
and Dawkins counters with a stiff right hand.

Dawkins takes a swing at Naug's ribcage but misses.
Dawkins tries to score a power double leg takedown but Naug sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Dawkins somewhat.
Dawkins throws a hook but Naug avoids it easily.
Dawkins scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.

Naug tries to push off, looking to stand up, but Dawkins manages to move to mount!
Naug is in a horrible position here. Dawkins smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Dawkins pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.

Naug fails with a takedown attempt.
Horrible takedown by Naug or perhaps it was just good defense by Dawkins which made him look bad.
Dawkins moves into range and connects with a jab.
It looks like Julius Naug has been cut.
Dawkins shoots in for a double leg but Naug sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Naug tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Dawkins counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Naug's guard now.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Naug can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Dawkins controls the pace.
Dawkins pushes down on Naug's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Naug is trying to stand up here but Dawkins is controlling him well.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Dawkins has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Dawkins won't let Naug get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now.

Well Dawkins has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
