The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Guida gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Martins goes for a takedown attempt but Guida pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
No joy there for Guida, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Guida lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Martins circles away quickly and effectively.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Martins.
Guida connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Guida tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Guida shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Martins is trying to defend but Guida finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Poor strikes thrown by Guida there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!

Guida has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Martins has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!
Guida is trying to stick to Martins's back but Martins is turning into Guida. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Guida's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Martins.

Well Guida has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
