The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hogan tries to close the distance and clinch but Rauhanen swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Hogan shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Rauhanen as he jumps to the side.
Hogan throws a half hearted mid kick.
Some wild striking there from Rauhanen.
Rauhanen lands with a kick to the temple. Hogan shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"

It looks like Hulk Hogan has been cut.
Hogan looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Hogan throws a left and a right that both miss
and Rauhanen counters with a two punch combo.
Rauhanen throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Hogan has a takedown stuffed.

Rauhanen lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Hogan circles away quickly and effectively.
Rauhanen lands with a nice combination. Hogan backs away looking to recover.
Hogan misses with a takedown attempt - Rauhanen sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

and Rauhanen counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Hogan is lucky that one didn't land flush.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Rauhanen looks to land a combination. Hogan sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.

Hulk Hogan's cut is getting worse.

Hogan closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Hogan is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.

Hogan thows a huge punch but Rauhanen dodges it nicely.

Hogan seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Rauhanen does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Hogan is trying to work for a kimura but Rauhanen is defending well.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Rauhanen misses with a series of wild punches.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Rauhanen drops Hogan with a beautiful combination! Hogan stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Rauhanen is looking for the KO!

Hogan shoots in for a double leg but Rauhanen sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Hogan goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Rauhanen turns into him and now he's in Hogan's guard.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Rauhanen stands up from Hogan's guard - Rauhanen perhaps looking for a knockout.
Hogan thows a body shot but no joy.
Hogan shoots in looking for a takedown. Rauhanen tries to sprawl out of it but Hogan keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Rauhanen manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Hogan is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Rauhanen is just riding it out for now. Hogan eventually gives up the hold.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Rauhanen kicks off Hogan and gets to his feet.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Hogan shoots in for a double leg but Rauhanen sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

That was a close second round but I would say that Hulk Hogan will probably get the nod.

Hogan changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Rauhanen tries to avoid it but Hogan manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Rauhanen to the ground. Rauhanen escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Hogan will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Hulk Hogan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Hogan shoots for a takedown but Rauhanen saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Rauhanen lands a slapping body shot.
Rauhanen dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Hogan. That did some damage!
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Rauhanen lands with an uppercut that bounces Hogan off the cage and back into rage.

Hulk Hogan's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.
Hogan fails with the takedown.
Hogan has a takedown stuffed.
Rauhanen lands with a big right hook that stumbles Hogan - he's out on his feet here! Rauhanen follows up with another monster hook that separates Hogan from consciousness! Hogan falls, almost in slow motion to the canvas! Rauhanen stands and admires his work as the crowd go wild.
