Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Travis Turner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sione Finau (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Finau has chosen "Ninja Gaiden" by The Minibosses as his entrance music. Sione Finau is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Sione Finau!
The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, Damien Edna and Eliza Hachem.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Turner shoots in for a takedown but Finau shows good takedown defense.
Travis Turner seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Turner takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Turner has a takedown stuffed.

Turner shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Finau's guard.
Finau is pulling down on Turner's head. It's preventing any offense from Turner, at least for the moment.
Finau keeping full guard, as Turner tries to pass.
Finau has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
Turner postures up in Finau's guard and throws a big left but Finau blocks it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Finau has his hands on Turner's head, controlling the position.

Let's hope that Finau has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
Turner wants to control from the top but Finau keeps moving.

Despite being in the dominant position, Sione Finau just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Turner closes this distance looking for a takedown but Finau circles away.

Turner takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.

Turner jumps guard but Finau stands there with Turner around his waist. Turner gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Turner throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Finau blocks it with crossed arms.

Turner has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Finau avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Finau will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Turner up against the cage.

Turner is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.

Finau stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body.

Finau slowing the pace effectively.
The ref breaks the fighters up, due to lack of action by Sione Finau.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Finau, as that shot connected.

Finau has Turner up against the cage in a clinch.
Turner fails to pull guard.
Finau stalls.
Turner tries to pull guard but Finau won't allow it.

Turner tries for a takedown. No joy.
Finau slows down the pace here.
Turner drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Finau comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.
Turner tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Finau smiles and moves away.
Turner shoots in for a takedown but Finau shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Finau connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Finau lands a nice shot to the body.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Finau changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Finau scores to the head and body with a nice combination!

Travis Turner's cut is getting worse.
Finau connects with a crisp jab.
Finau is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range.
Finau takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.

Travis Turner's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.
Good shot there by Finau.
Finau drops Turner with a left right combo! Finau follows him down to the ground into side control.
Finau is staying tight to Turner's torso, preventing him from escaping.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Finau decides to stand up, so the ref orders Turner to his feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Sione Finau dominated that round.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Turner misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Finau works the jab nicely.
Finau blocks a leg kick.
Turner shoots in for a takedown but Finau shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Turner looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Finau is fending him off so far but Turner persists. Nope, Finau circles away and we're back to standing.

A telegraphed takedown attempt from Turner is defended easily by Finau.
Turner has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Finau finds it's way round the side to connect with Turner's head.

Jeez, Travis Turner's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.

Turner ducks straight into an uppercut from Finau and tumbles to the canvas! It’s a flash knockdown though - Turner maanges to regain guard straight away.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Travis Turner's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
