Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
11 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Sho Kazuki!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
8 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Batteryus Teho!
The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, John Mangel and Damien Edna.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kazuki misses the jab.
Teho bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

No joy there for Kazuki, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Kazuki throws a hook but Teho blocks it.

It looks like Batteryus Teho has been cut.
Kazuki throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Teho passes Kazuki's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Still in half guard, Teho seems content to control.

Kazuki defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Teho.

Kazuki tries to lock up and control but Teho gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Kazuki avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Kazuki wants to control from the top but Teho keeps moving.
Teho wants to sweep but no luck.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Teho manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Kazuki manages to get himself to full guard.
Teho is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Kazuki is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Kazuki has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Teho can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Teho drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Kazuki manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Teho has Kazuki in his guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Teho has his foot on Kazuki's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Kazuki works his way back into a safe position though.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Teho is on top in guard.

Teho has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Kazuki is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Teho yanks on the arm and Kazuki is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Teho.
