Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Tank Abrahms (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mick Dundee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Tank Abrahms!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Mick Dundee!
The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, Steve Erwin and Damien Edna.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Abrahms fails in his attempt to clinch.
Dundee closes the distance and clinches up with Abrahms, looking for a takedown. Dundee pushes Abrahms against the cage but Abrahms circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Dundee tries to bum rush Abrahms with a series of wild strikes but Abrahms uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Dundee tries to clinch but Abrahms is having none of it.

Abrahms gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Abrahms tries to land a knee to the head but Dundee blocks with his arms.
Dundee wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Abrahms has him pressed against the cage.

Dundee pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Abrahms wants to clinch but Dundee slips to the side
and Dundee counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.

Dundee fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Abrahms, pushing him back against the cage.
Dundee is trying to stall.
The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch.
Both fighters working to control the clinch.
Abrahms lands a glancing elbow in the clinch.

Abrahms lands an elbow that stopped Dundee in his tracks for a moment.
Dundee changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Abrahms fights it off and pushes away nicely.

With the fighters up against the cage, Abrahms throws an elbow but misses.

Dundee is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Abrahms pulls him back up using the underhooks.

Abrahms seems to have come into the fight with the intention of avoiding any damage in the clinch, rather than actually showing any aggression.

and Dundee counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Abrahms tries to kick Dundee off but Dundee keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Dundee is taking a breather. Abrahms says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Abrahms pushes Dundee off looking to stand but Dundee dives back in and keeps control.

Dundee wants to get back to his feet.

Dundee gets to his feet - back to striking we go!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Mick Dundee dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Abrahms tries to clinch up

and Dundee counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Abrahms is looking to escape.
Dundee wants to take a breather but Abrahms is having none of it.
Dundee throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Dundee seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.
Abrahms is pressing down on Dundee's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.

Abrahms is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Abrahms pushes Dundee off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.

and Dundee connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Dundee throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Abrahms seems a little flustered. He's come in with the intention of controlling the clinch but Dundee is preventing him from doing so, at least for the moment.

Abrahms wants to get up but he can't break Dundee's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Mick Dundee showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Abrahms can't seem to implement his control oriented gameplan at the moment. That's no bad thing of course, for those of us who want to see a good fight.
