The judges for this bout are Luis Engracia, Alexandre Firmino and Mauricio Rocha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fukuyama misses with a hook. Ignacio ducked under it nicely.
Ignacio changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Fukuyama tries to avoid it but Ignacio manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Fukuyama to the ground. Fukuyama escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Ignacio shoots in but no luck this time.
Ignacio displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Fukuyama throws out the jab.
Fukuyama will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Ignacio tries to close the distance and clinch but Fukuyama swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Ignacio with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Fukuyama to score with a decent uppercut.

Fukuyama lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Ryo Fukuyama dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
