Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Simo Katama (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Nogueira kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Gimme Shelter. Katama has chosen New Divide as his entrance music. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Daniel Cesar, Paulo Santos and Seu Braga.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Katama looks to score with a jab to the body but Nogueira is just out of range.
Nogueira scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Nice sprawl there from Katama as Nogueira shoots in.
Katama swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Nogueira fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Katama dodges the punch combination from Nogueira.
Katama misses with a double jab
and Nogueira counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Katama really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Nogueira. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Nogueira trying to control but Katama is working from the bottom.
Nogueira throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Katama works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Nogueira drops back looking for a leg! Katama is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Katama manages to kick Nogueira off! Nogueira jumps back into Katama's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Nogueira slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.

Katama wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!
Nogueira is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Katama is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Nogueira is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Katama knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Nogueira works to advance to full mount. Katama defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.

Nogueira is working for a guillotine from mount but Katama frees his head quite easily.
Nogueira working for a submission here. He's tucked his head under his opponent's arm, looking for an arm triangle. He's hopped off into side control, looking to tighten the submission... is it going to work? He's given up a good position looking for it. Katama looks OK. Oh, I spoke too soon, he's out! That must have been tighter than I thought! Excellent work there by Nogueira! Submission of the night perhaps?
