Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Brent Huthe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Walter Lants (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Huthe comes to the cage accompanied by Real American. Walter Lants is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

The judges for this bout are Saam Ante, Patrick Alders and Nard Betker.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Lants shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Lants showed some decent athleticism there.

Huthe has one foot on Lants's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.
Lants looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Lants moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.

It looks like Brent Huthe has been cut.
Huthe avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Huthe showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Lants.
Huthe tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
A telegraphed right hand from Huthe misses the target.

Huthe feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Huthe is in close to Lants's body, working some short punches and elbows.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Huthe lands a couple of decent looking shots.
Lants wants to stand and escape but Huthe is having none of it.

Huthe drops back looking for a leg! Lants is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Lants manages to kick Huthe off! Huthe jumps back into Lants's guard.

Lants wants to get back to his feet but Huthe is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Huthe lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.

Huthe pushes down on Lants's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Lants really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Huthe. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Huthe postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Lants to stand up.
Lants throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Huthe digs a good hook to Lants's body.
Lants looks gassed!

Huthe moves into range and clinches up with Lants.
Huthe wants a takedown.

Huthe turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Lants misses with an elbow from the bottom.
Huthe scores with punches from side control.
Lants is pushing Huthe's head away, looking to escape. Huthe manages to hold on to the position though.
Huthe is putting a hurting on Lants here, landing some big shots from side control.
Lants on the wrong end of some ground and pound.
Lants wants to get back to his feet but Huthe drags him back down.
