Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between LeSean McCoy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hade Wood (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Wood is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Mama Said Knock You Out. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, LeSean McCoy!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Hade Wood!
The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Chris Downing and Robert Twigg.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McCoy takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Wood scores with a body shot.
McCoy takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
McCoy dives in and grabs Wood's left leg, looking for a takedown. Wood pushes down on McCoy's head and hops out.
McCoy keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

Wood throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

McCoy shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Wood is trying to defend but McCoy finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Wood escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. McCoy gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

McCoy got a little sloppy there for a moment and Wood has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, McCoy has managed to get both his arms back between Wood's legs - danger averted.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Wood wants to control but McCoy is keeping busy.

McCoy is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!

Wood is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.

McCoy prevents Wood from getting the reversal.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

That's time! McCoy's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Wood stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.

Wood throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. McCoy was covering up waiting for the punch and Wood finishes the takedown easily into guard.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
McCoy tries for a takedown but Wood circles away easily

and Wood counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Wood lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.

Wood is looking for a kimura but McCoy is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Wood to get the leverage.

McCoy wants to control the action here but instead Wood manages to pass to full mount!

The referee warns McCoy that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Wood trying to control but he's not successful this time.
McCoy sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.

McCoy is defending against the submission attempts here by Wood.
Wood thows a huge punch but McCoy dodges it nicely.

McCoy takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.

Wood creates some space and throws a big elbow, but McCoy sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.

Hade Wood showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Wood checks a leg kick.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Wood, as that shot connected.
Wood is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.

Wood bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Wood stuns McCoy with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.

The fighters circle momentarily. Wood darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.

McCoy wants to sweep here but Wood controlling him for the moment.

Wood might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control McCoy kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
McCoy manages to regain half guard. Good work.
Hade Wood is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Hade Wood comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Wood has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
