The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Miller wants to clinch.

Miller clinches up against the cage.

Quest tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Miller smiles and moves away.
A leg kick checked by Miller.
Miller tries to close the distance and clinch but Quest swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Miller is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Miller moves into range and clinches up with Quest.
Quest is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Miller pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Miller gets through Quest's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
Quest tries to pull guard but Miller holds him up against the cage and eventually Quest drops back down to his feet.
Mike Miller has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Johnny Quest.

Quest jumps guard but Miller stands there with Quest around his waist. Quest gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Quest tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Miller just stands there and leans against the cage.

Miller keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Quest's efforts to push away.
Miller swings away with an uppercut that misses.

Miller digs a right hand into Quest's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Quest's gas tank.
Miller pushes Quest back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.
Miller gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Quest.

Miller turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!
Quest manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
Miller tries to stand but his arm is trapped.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Miller wants to stand up but Quest manages to regain full guard.
Miller looking to sit in guard and control but Quest gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Miller knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Quest on the ground.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Quest is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Quest passes Miller's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Mike Miller dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Miller with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Quest to score with a decent uppercut.
Miller wants to clinch up but Quest keeps it at a distance.
Miller tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Quest paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Quest scores with the left hand. Miller knows he should have avoided that one.

Miller gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Quest to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Miller wants to stand up but Quest is controlling him.
Quest is pushing down on Miller's leg trying to pass to half guard. Miller is fighting to maintain full guard but Quest has managed to sneak the leg through.
Quest has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Quest is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Miller is surviving well by controlling Quest's body position as best he can.

Miller is trying to stand.
Quest tries to control but Miller wriggling away.
Quest works his way to his opponent's back.

Quest has the rear naked choke here! This is very bad for Miller! Can he survive? No! He's out! Quest gets to his feet and celebrates with his cornermen. He looks absolutely delighted. In the post fight interviews he takes time to thank his parents and everyone who has believed in him from the start. How sweet.
