Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Opa Jokinen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brent Carter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jokinen comes to the cage accompanied by Prodigy - Baby's Got A Temper. This should be fireworks!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Brent Carter!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Jack Bonds and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jokinen throws a looping overhand right but Carter ducks down to avoid it.
Carter shoots in and bounces Jokinen off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Jokinen pulls Carter in to control the position.
Carter trying to control but Jokinen is working from the bottom.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Carter accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Carter must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Jokinen sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
Jokinen wants to improve his position but Carter is controlling well.

Jokinen pushes down on Carter's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Jokinen seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Carter does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Jokinen is stalling here. Carter is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Jokinen seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Carter has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Jokinen is trying to control Carter's posture but Carter avoids it.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

and Carter counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Jokinen!

Carter has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Jokinen's face.

Carter is landing with some decent strikes but Jokinen is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
Jokinen is in all sorts of trouble here.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
The referee warns Jokinen that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Carter takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Well Carter has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
