Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between David Silvey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vince Parra (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, David Silvey!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Vince Parra!
The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Wesley Smith and Frank Dennis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silvey thuds his right hand into Parra's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.


It looks like Vince Parra has been cut.
David Silvey seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Silvey wants to clinch up but Parra keeps it at a distance.
Parra blocks a head kick by Silvey.

Parra moves into the clinch successfully.
Parra can't break the clinch.

Silvey breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Silvey throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Nice sprawl there from Silvey as Parra shoots in.
Silvey tries to clinch there but Parra circles away.
Parra has a takedown stuffed.
Parra is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Silvey moves into the clinch.
Silvey connects with a nasty looking knee right to Parra's face.

Parra tries to break the clinch but Silvey is controlling the position.

Parra tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Silvey smiles and moves away.

Silvey tries to clinch but Parra moves away

and Parra holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Silvey is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace.
Parra is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Silvey pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Silvey lands a nice elbow.
Silvey scores with a knee to the head.
Silvey tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
Parra is trying to break free.
Parra changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Silvey fights it off and pushes away nicely.

Silvey moves into range and clinches up with Parra.
Parra tries to stall but Silvey uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
Silvey prevents Parra from breaking the clinch.
Silvey tries to pull guard but Parra holds him up against the cage and eventually Silvey drops back down to his feet.

Silvey shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Parra counters with a two punch combo.
Parra slips a jab and a cross from Silvey.
Parra looking to land some kicks to the body here.

Parra shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Silvey's guard.
Silvey can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Parra controls the pace.

Silvey has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Parra is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Silvey.
Silvey is looking for a sweep.

Parra decides to stand up, so the ref orders Silvey to his feet.
A head kick lands from Silvey that sends Parra to the canvas. Parra tries to scramble back to his feet but Silvey brings him back down into side control.


Parra is rocked!

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Parra struggling a bit here.
Parra is still on wobbly legs! Can Silvey finish him?
Parra seems to have recovered his senses.

Silvey working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Silvey wants to lay and pray for a moment but Parra keeps working.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Parra manages to work his way to half guard, despite Silvey's best efforts.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that David Silvey will probably get the nod.
The cut man is working on Vince Parra's cut.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Parra fails with a takedown attempt.
Silvey throws a nice looking combination but Parra bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Silvey shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Parra.
Parra throws a push kick but Silvey slaps the foot to one side.
Silvey misses with a wild combination.

Silvey fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Parra, pushing him back against the cage.
Parra wants to break free but Silvey has control.

Parra is fighting off a takedown attempt but Silvey is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Parra to the mat. Parra regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
Silvey wants to pass the guard but Parra is keeping the position.
Silvey has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Silvey has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Parra can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Parra is in close to Silvey's body, working some short punches and elbows.

Silvey is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Parra controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Parra stands and steps away. Silvey gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Parra looks for a takedown but Silvey sprawls well.

A bone on bone clash there as Silvey blocks the leg kick.
Parra throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.

Silvey stalks Parra and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Parra's face. Parra staggers backwards, shaken.

Parra tries for a takedown but Silvey manages to get underhooks.

Silvey has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Parra clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
Silvey lands with a nice looking elbow that stuns Parra.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Silvey doesn't have the hooks in and Parra manages to turn into his guard.
Parra wants to pass the guard but Silvey is keeping the position.
Parra is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!


A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Parra.
Silvey keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

Parra wants to clinch but Silvey slips to the side

Parra scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
Silvey lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Parra!
Silvey prevents Parra from getting the reversal.

Silvey jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Parra is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Parra and Silvey has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
Parra wants to control but Silvey postures up.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Parra manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
Parra gets full guard.
Parra looking for a sweep. Not yet Parra, not yet.
Parra bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Silvey's guard.

Silvey working for a triangle but Parra defends it easily.
Silvey looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Parra puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.

Silvey has a hand on Parra's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Parra takes advantage of the position though and mounts him!

Parra stands up from the dominant position. He obviously fancies his chances standing.

Silvey misses with a looping left.

Parra can't get the takedown.

Silvey stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Parra swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Silvey wants to control from the top but Parra keeps moving.

Silvey drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Silvey seems to have locked his on tight now - Parra screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Silvey, as he picks up the win!
