Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between brandao silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Daniel Connors (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Daniel Connors is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Franklyn Lucas, Joseph Jones and Reed Andrews.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
silva gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Connors looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
silva unloads a knee to the mid-section. Connors lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh.
silva breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Nice sprawl there from Connors as silva shoots in.
silva has closed the distance and engaged Connors in a clinch.
silva has hold of one of Connors's legs. Connors is fighting the takedown attempt but silva gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

silva has his foot on Connors's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Connors works his way back into a safe position though.

silva manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Connors manages to get himself to full guard.
Connors has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.

silva wants to stand but Connors is controlling the position.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

silva tries to control but Connors manages to take his back.
Connors is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. silva defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined.

Connors is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

and Connors decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in silva's guard.

silva is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.

silva is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Connors dives into side control.

silva is wriggling around trying to escape.
silva tries to hold on but Connors pushes him away.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
The referee stands the fighters back up. brandao silva just wasn't active enough from the dominant position.
silva moves into the clinch.
Connors ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Connors no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Connors is trying to control the position from the bottom.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
silva slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Connors jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as silva walks away with a smile on his face. Connors gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Connors is trying to control but can't.
Connors might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control silva kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to brandao silva.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for silva, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
