PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Samson Nosmas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Edgar Poe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Nosmas kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genuis that is I ain't never scared. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Samson Nosmas!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Edgar Poe!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, Steven Brown and James Ackerman.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Poe swats away the attempt to clinch by Nosmas.
Horrible takedown by Nosmas or perhaps it was just good defense by Poe which made him look bad.
Nosmas fails with the takedown.
Nosmas throws a low kick, looking for Poe's leg but Poe calmly moves out of range.

Poe closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Poe content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
Poe throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Poe postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Nosmas to stand up.
Nosmas doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Poe counters with a stiff right hand.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Samson Nosmas. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Poe closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Nosmas is looking for a sweep.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Poe decides to stand back up.
A combination from Poe does no damage.
Nosmas gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
letting Poe counter with a right hand.
Nosmas avoids a punch combination nicely.
Nosmas with a poor takedown

and Poe counters by moving into the clinch.
Nosmas tries to pull guard but Poe won't allow it.

Poe escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Poe lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Nosmas throws a head kick that misses.
Nosmas shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Poe counters with a nice body kick.
Nosmas is breathing heavily.

Poe takes the fight into the clinch.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Nosmas tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Poe smiles and moves away.
Poe works over Nosmas's head and body with a nice combination.

Nosmas is rocked!
Poe is throwing a storm of strikes! Right hook, left hook and follows it up with a spinning back fist! Nosmas hits the canvas like a rag doll! And just like that, this one is over!
