Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Petri Pikkarainen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Olle Koskinen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Olle Koskinen will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Arvi Lind, Roosa Järviläinen and Tarja Halkonen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pikkarainen shoots in looking for a takedown. Koskinen tries to sprawl out of it but Pikkarainen keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Koskinen manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Olle Koskinen seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Koskinen has closed the distance and engaged Pikkarainen in a clinch.
Koskinen is looking to break free of the clinch but Pikkarainen has double underhooks.

Koskinen paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Koskinen cracks Pikkarainen with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.

Koskinen throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Pikkarainen stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Olle Koskinen showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!


Pikkarainen takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Koskinen moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.

Koskinen looks to land a right hand but Pikkarainen moved out of range.
Koskinen lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.

Koskinen tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Pikkarainen was well out of range. Poor timing from Koskinen.
Olle Koskinen is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Koskinen throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Koskinen drops Pikkarainen with a left right combo! Koskinen follows him down to the ground into side control.
Pikkarainen is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Koskinen off and has taken his back!

Pikkarainen looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Koskinen has picked Pikkarainen up and slammed him! Pikkarainen can't keep hold of the triangle and Koskinen manages to pass to side control!

Pikkarainen is trying desperately to improve position.
Koskinen tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Koskinen can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Pikkarainen is looking to escape.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Let's hope that Koskinen has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Olle Koskinen comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Koskinen has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
