The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
JiuJitsu darts in and out, connecting with a jab.

It looks like Scott Roman has been cut.
JiuJitsu displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Roman.
JiuJitsu slips a jab and a cross from Roman.
Roman checks a low kick from JiuJitsu.
Roman avoids a low kick by using good footwork.
Roman looking to land some kicks to the body here.
Roman tries for a takedown but JiuJitsu sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

Roman moves into the clinch successfully.

Roman pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Roman looks to land a combination but JiuJitsu avoids it well.
Roman shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Scott Roman. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Roman shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with JiuJitsu but JiuJitsu pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Roman with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling JiuJitsu to score with a decent uppercut.
Roman checks a leg kick.
JiuJitsu avoids the head kick by Roman.
JiuJitsu swings for the body but Roman moves out of range.
Roman tries to clinch up but JiuJitsu circles away and keeps his distance.

JiuJitsu tries to keep at a distance but Roman has taken the fight into the clinch.
JiuJitsu prevents a takedown attempt there.
Roman is trying to break the clinch but JiuJitsu has him pressed against the cage.

Roman escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
JiuJitsu lands a jab followed by a vicious hook that sends Roman sprawling to the canvas. JiuJitsu follows him down, looking for the kill. Can Roman hang on?

Roman is rocked!

JiuJitsu looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Oh Roman is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!

JiuJitsu is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Roman wants to get back to his feet.
Roman seems to have got his legs back now.
Roman is breathing heavily.

JiuJitsu moves nicely into side control.

JiuJitsu is trying to get an arm triangle but Roman is defending well.

JiuJitsu has an Americana. Roman didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! JiuJitsu is delighted and gyrates infront of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if JiuJitsu hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
