The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wasswa lands a head kick!

It looks like Randy Ram has been cut.
Ram shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
Ram throws a low kick but Wasswa avoids it.
Wasswa takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Ram tries to clinch there but Wasswa circles away.
Ram throws a nice looking combination but Wasswa bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Wasswa throws a leg kick which misses Ram's front leg but catches the back leg as Ram tries to avoid it.

Ram clinches up against the cage.

Wasswa pulls guard effortlessly.

Ram is looking to stand up but Wasswa won't let him.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Wasswa is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
Ram would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

Wasswa working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Ram doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Wasswa is tightening it up a little... Ram has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight!
